Dear Kate,

I truly enjoyed our email correspondence during your retirement and fishing in Baja. I so much wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas and go around the corner and surf. I wasn't interested in the fishing. I was shocked when you came down with cancer  and was so blown away at how you went through the treatments and how you lived out your days. You died as you lived; fearlessly and with strength and grace!!

                                                                                                   You are my hero!

Katie was one of the "gang", our close group of friends, in high school.  She was funny and up for almost anything.  I stil remember being in a dressing room at Ford's Dept. Store with her when she decided to "lift" a girdle.  She put it on and walked out with it on and I was a nervous wreck, scared to death that we'd get caught.  But Katie strolled out very confidentally.  I also remember water skiing behind Corrigan's house and the two of them were on one ski when I was still   putzing around on two.  She had a quick smile and an easy laugh and was always fun to be around.

Katie, Katie, Katie,

You talked me into so many things!  I'll never forget you talking me into bright red nail polish on my toes and really sexy under wear on my wedding day!  A lady on the outside and naughty on the inside - something we should all remember gals..............

Was great to catch up with you on FaceBook - I miss you Katie!!!
